You need not to worry in case you have lost the class 10th marksheet. You can apply for diploma using the virtual copy of it downloaded from digilocker and later apply for duplicate copy of your marksheet from the regional education board. Here's steps, how you can download the same from digilocker:

• Visit the DigiLocker website www.digilocker.gov.in (https://digilocker.gov.in/) or download the DigiLocker app on your smartphone
• Click on the link for your educational board.
• Select class 10 passing certificate or class 10 marksheet
• Login to your account using the registered mobile number and access your marksheet
• Alternatively, you can use your Aadhaar Card number to log in

There is no alternative to 10th class mark sheet. You have to apply for a duplicate one and that is a long process involving giving a police complaint, getting an affidavit etc and finally submitting to the Board you have taken exam from.

If you don't have the time, you can give a photocopy of the 10th mark list (if you have) and you can request the college administration about your problem, show the proof of your efforts to get the duplicate.
