Hello,
So if you have scored 70% in your class 12th boards it's good.
Now if you are willing to take a drop, then first of all take this decision only if you are not getting any college this year or you are fully prepared to study the entire iit jee syllabus once more.
Because taking an year drop is good but sometimes it becomes a burden on some students and as a result they end up screwing their entire year.
And if you prepare with full focus and hard work, then surely you would be able to score 95 percentile.
And yes if you score this much, then you can really get decent colleges, but with reference to the new pattern of 2019,scoring about 97-98 percentile would fetch you a good amount of govt.colleges.
