My category rank in jee main 2019 is 6161.I belongs to sc category .Can I get any NIT OR IIIT college with any core branch in special round

You can try for the following colleges/institutes with your rank in SC category. The branches available for your rank are mentioned in the brackets beside the name of the institute:

1. National Institute of Technology, Sikkim (ECE)

Congratulation for such a good score in jee mains 2019.

Yes you can get admission into some reputed nits or iiits but its difficult for you to get admission into any core branches in them.

If you considered lower nits like one in northeast region so you might get seats into core branches.

You can even get computer science branch in some iits the iits are iiit surat , iiit una, iiit vadodara , iiit sonepat and more.

Well, brother you have a great chance to get into the decent seat of  a medocre NIT/IIIT

Regarding, counseling I would recommend you to explore your interest/niche to understand which engineering branch interest you the most.

So, with this you would find easier ot fill choices in CSAB special round

Also, regarding college's

I would recommend you to prefer

NIT KKR

NIT Hamirpur

NIT Bhopal

NIT Jaipur

6161 rank is a giid rank.

According to last year's cut offs you have decent chance to get many nit and some of these are :

  • Nit Jalandhar
  • Nit Raipur
  • Nit Durgapur
  • Nit kurukshetra
  • Nit Jamshedpur
  • Nit surat
  • Nit Srinagar
  • Nit Goa
Etc.

You should look for the specific college in which you want to go .
