Based on the previous years cutoff for computer science the range of rank for general category was:

 4439 to 4841

So if you belong to the general category there is no chance to get CS branch however if you belong to reserved category cut off is lower.

Yes your rank is decent for getting cs in private engineering colleges in your home state....

Go for counseling round...there are higher chances for getting cse seat in private college
