Graduation Aptitude Test in Engineering is an exam for the graduated engineer students or the students studying in final year of their degree to pursue their Master's degree. The people who cleared all the subjects are eligible for GATE exam but for joining the iit's the minimum CGPA required is 6.0. But you are lacking it behind. So you don't have an opportunity to get placed in IIT's.
