No, there is no requirement of English in NEET examination. The exam consists of 3 sections namely biology, chemistry and physics. The whole paper consists of these three subjects and the student will be judged from the marks obtained in these paper.

However if you are searching for an exam having English also in the entrance test then you may consider aiims and jipmer.

Dear aspirant,

The subject English is not required for the exam of NEET. In NEET you will know only about the physics chem Biology,

But you required basic English knowledge to answer the questions. But there is no proper test for English.

Thank you

Hello Roshan,

Although the NEET examination paper is available in other languages apart from English hence writing the examination wouldn't be a problem if you are not fluent in English but the eligibility criteria states that the individual should have passed their 10+2 with subjects including English, Physics, Biology and Chemistry separately. Also the applicant should fall under the specified age category and should have achieved a percentile of 50% for unreserved category and 40% for the reserved ones. You can tally with the NEET eligibility guidelines on their official website.

I hope this helped.

The requirement of English in the (10+2) examination depends on the boards. For example if you were studying in CBSE or ICSE then it would've been a compulsory subject. Otherwise if it was not then you would like to checkout the NEET guildlines from their official page for confirmation.
