My father native is Tamilnadu and works in Tamil nadu but I studied in Andhrapradesh. We are in Andhra Tamilnadu border. With my father's domicile can I apply for state counseling there.

Hi aspirant,

To avail state quota from either of the places, you need to satisfy some basic eligibility criterias set up by authorities and the government. Some of them are listed below:

  • He/She must be born in the same state or parents should be a native of that state.
  • The candidate must complete his/her secondary and higher secondary education from an institution recognised by the state government.
  • Parent should be working in any public or private sector under the state government  for atleast seven years.
  • He/ She should have a domicile certificate from an authorised body.

So as you do not fulfill any of the mentioned criteria  you cannot apply for the state counselling based upon the domicile of your father
