My friend got 100 marks in jee mains paper-1.He belongs to general category.can he get into NIT

The official cutoff for different NITs and IIITs isn't released by the NTA yet so nothing can be said with confirmation. However, if we look at previous year records then with these marks getting NIT is very difficult for a general category student. Also the final rank will be decided upon your performance in both the exams of jee mains held this year. So I would suggest you to wait for results the search about colleges based on your rank. Your predicted rank based on your marks is around 51k. And to get admission into NITs you need a rank below 20k.
