Congratulations to your friend on their amazing performance. The official Jee mains rank will be released after the completion of the exam in April. You can expect a rank within 5000, you can alose get admission into NITs and have qualified for Jee Advanced

Your friend can get his choice of branch in all NITs and IIITs except NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal and MNNIT Allahabad. He can easily get admission IN DTU in CSE branch. In NIT Warangal and Surathkal he may get Mechanical and CSE branch in the last round. It might be risky for him to wait at that round.
