As per the CAT eligibility, a candidate must have a graduation degree (3 years) with at least 50% marks in graduation, irrespective of any domain/education field you are from. You can check the complete eligibility here as well.
Once you get a respective percentile based on your performance in CAT exam, accordingly you get shortlisted in colleges participating through CAT. And further selection rounds are GD/PI/WAT etc.
