Hello,

JEE Main results are given in terms of NTA score/percentile. It is difficult to indicate the exact marks with the given percentile because percentile is that percentage of candidates who have scored equal or less marks than you and it depends on number of candidates appeared, marks scored in individual subjects, tie breakers, normalized score, highest score etc. Taking into consideration the percentile vs marks trends of previous year you might have score in between 21-26 marks in JEE Main. To check the JEE Main percentile vs Marks trend use the link below

You have not mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category it is very difficult to qualify in JEE Main with such percentile. You need to score minimum 90-95 percentile to qualify. The qualifying cut off percentile for JEE Main 2020 was as follows

  • General:90.3765335
  • OBC-NCL:72.8887969
  • EWS:70.2435518
  • SC:50.1760245
  • ST:39.0696101
  • PWD:0.0618524

The cut off percentile is subjected to change every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. We would suggest you to prepare for JEE Main upcoming sessions and try to score minimum 190-210 marks if you belong to general category and if you belong to reserved category you need to score minimum 90-160 marks to have decent chances of getting seat in a decent college.

hello aspirant,

The  National testing agency(nta) does not release the marks it releases the score and ranks.however based on analysis, previous year trends and https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile your marks for 36.534 percentile could be around 20-23 on 300 and rank would be around 649257-729857.now you will have tough or no chances to fetch seat with this percentile. you need a percentile above 96-97+to fetch seat in good nits.

hope this helps,

thankyou.
