Admission to BAIT is based on TNEA and not on your JEE main rank or score. And, as you are not a native of Tamil Nadu, you won't get admission ther, unless they have seats under Other State Quota. only some colleges have seats under Other State Quota, and I don't think BAIT has it. TNEA is purely based on your 12th board marks. So, having a higher board marks increases your chances of getting admission. And, to know about Other state Quota admission, please check the website of Anna University or contact their office.

cutoff marks for BAIT is around 140 for general category according to previous years record. This year the cutoff marks might decrease as the paper was tough.But your chances of getting admission in BAIT is less.

I think it is very hard to get admission in government college.in my view, you should try for lpu,vit,Chandigarh University.it will be good for you.
