With a JEE rank of 700,000 in the OBC category, it is highly unlikely that you will secure a seat in any good college, including NITs or other centrally funded technical institutes, as this rank falls significantly outside the usual admission range for most decent engineering colleges; you might have to explore options in private colleges or state-level government colleges depending on your state's quota and available seats.

With a JEE rank of around 700,000 in the OBC category, getting into top institutes like NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs is difficult. However, you still have options:

1. State Engineering Colleges – Some state universities offer seats with lower cutoffs for OBC candidates.

2. Private Colleges – Many reputed private institutes accept JEE scores and provide scholarships.

3. Counseling & Spot Rounds – Keep an eye on state counseling and spot admissions, where some seats remain available.

4. Alternative Exams – Look for state or private university entrance exams that might offer better chances.

If you’re passionate about engineering, these options can still lead you to a good college.

hi ,

achieving JEE rank of approximately 700000 places you beyond the typical qualifying cut-off for the exam ,

given your rank securing admission in premier institutions like IIT , NIT , GFIT , may be challenging however you can still hope for -

  1. state engineering colleges - many state level engineering colleges reserve seats for OBC candidates and may have different cut-off criteria .
  2. private engineering colleges- numerous private engineering institutions offer engineering programs with varying admission criteria .

hope this helps .

Hello there,

With a JEE rank of 700,000 and OBC category , getting into top NITs or IITs is unlikely. However, you can still explore:

  1. State Government Colleges : Many offer reservations for OBC candidates, and the cutoff may be lower.

  2. Private Engineering Colleges : Institutions like VIT Vellore , SRM , and BITS Pilani (through BITSAT) may have opportunities.

  3. Other Universities : Some private and deemed universities also accept JEE scores.

Participate in counseling and explore other exams like BITSAT or VITEEE for more options.
