Hello dear,
If 88.6 is your jee mains percentile then your general rank will approximately close to 1,10,000 and with this rank it is hard to get seat in NIT in general category but as your board percentage is less than 75 you will not get any seat in NIT .

Hello Mohammed
For admissions to NITs / IIITs / GFTIs :
Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
So you are not eligible to get admission.
But if you are in top 20 percentile than it will be possible.but this much percentile is not sufficient to get admission in good nit s
Good luck
