Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that with teh above rank and marks scored by you in NEET UG, it is nearly impossible for you to get any givernment medical colleges in India since you also belong to the GENERAL Category.

However, you can try looking for some private institutes where you can get seat in medical courses.

You can follow the below article to know more about the NEET cutoff, follow the below link :

Further, follow the neet college predictor tool to know more baout the colleges based on your rank and score :

Hi reader,

The courses offered by NEET counselling include

1)MBBS

2)BDS

3)BAMS

4)BHMS

since you belong to general category and your rank is nearly 1 lakh it seems quite improbable that you will get any seat in the MBBS or BDS courses.

the cutoff for BAMS last year based on neet 2020's available data thorugh AIQ in 1st round was:

at AIR 55199 and secured admission in Governement Ayurveda Medical college and hospital , Nagercoil , Tamil nadu

the cutoff for BHMS last year based on neet 2020's available data thorugh AIQ in 1st round was:

at AIR 89405 And secured admission in JSPS government homeopathic medical college , Ramanthapur , Hyderabad

in the mop up round the cutoff for BAMS was at AIR 74494 at 515 marks

in mopup round the cutoff for BHMS was at AIR 120653 at 465 marks.

based on last year's data you may get admission in BHMS course through ALL INDIA QUOTA.

you can check in your state too. usually the cutoff of state goes lower than that of all india quota.

for knowing your chances of getting a medical college you can refer

i hope this helps

thank you

Hello there,

Hope you are doing well. From your profile ,I got to know that you belong from West Bengal.See, given that you belong from general category for getting admission into any course through NEET ,you needed to score atleast 530+ as per past year's cutoff trends through State quota counselling in WB. The cutoffs this year are expected to be somewhat similar to last year's or may increase marginally. At 477 getting a government seat for medical, dental or any allied sciences courses won't be possible. You'll have to go for private or management quota seats .

Also, as you have scored 477 this year , I'll strongly suggest you to appear for NEET-2022 because you can surely increase your marks to atleast 600 or 610 within the remaining 6-7 months . And with that score you can safely land into a government medical college next year through West Bengal State quota counselling.

You can have details of the colleges you can get into based on your NEET AIR and category both through AIQ and SQ of your state  from the link given below :

If you want to prepare for neet 2022,here are some useful resources which you can use to strengthen you preparation.

Hope my answer helped.

Css Hey ! The cutoff score for government Vet sciences through WB state quota counselling in 2020 was somewhere around 539 for general category. However ,if you try for private colleges you have fair chances of getting a seat . That is why I mentioned 530+ roughly as the score and also due to conduction of 4 rounds in AIQ this year , the cutoff will increase slightly as no seats will be reverted back to state to be filled under 85% quota . Hope this helped :)
