my pharmacy rank is 23597 in general cota. plz send me the chances
With a pharmacy rank of 23,597 in WBJEE 2025 (General quota), getting a seat in top government pharmacy colleges in West Bengal is highly unlikely, as their cutoffs usually close much earlier. However, you still have chances in private pharmacy colleges under WBJEE, especially in less in-demand ones across districts. You may get branches in colleges like Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Bengal School of Technology, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Institute, etc. mostly in private category.
With a pharmacy rank of 23,597 in the general category, your chances of admission will mostly depend on the state you belong to, the counselling authority, and the type of colleges you are aiming for. In government pharmacy colleges, the cut off for general category seats is usually much lower, so getting a seat there with this rank may be difficult. However, in private colleges and self-financed institutions, you will have better chances of admission since their cut-offs go much higher compared to government colleges.
With a pharmacy rank of 23,597, you can get admission in private pharmacy colleges more easily than in top government ones. In government colleges, cutoffs usually close much earlier for General category. However, private colleges across different states keep seats open till later rounds, so you have a strong chance there. My advice is to participate in both state counseling and private university counseling. If your preference is government, chances are slim at this rank, but private institutions should not be a problem.
Thank you and best wishes!
Your pharmacy rank is 23,597 in general quota, so chances in government colleges will depend a lot on the state you belong to, the category cut-offs of that state, and also the type of counselling you are applying through (state counselling or all India). With this rank, getting a seat in top government pharmacy colleges under general quota is quite tough, because usually cut-off ranks for general category go much lower. But still you can get chances in some newly established government colleges or colleges in states where competition is relatively less. Private colleges are definitely an option, and you might get good ones there with this rank. My suggestion is that you must participate in counselling rounds properly, check last year’s closing ranks of your state colleges, and also keep private colleges as a backup. Don’t lose hope, because sometimes seats remain vacant in later rounds and ranks like yours also get a chance.
With your rank it is highly impossible to get into any other government colleges better look for any other private institutions based on your rank you have scored if you need any other particular colleges if you are looking for you need to check their official website wether based on your category is the seats or available
