Hi aspirant
You have neither mentioned your category nor what state you belong to. So we don't know what state quota is applicable to you. For precise information you need to mention these two elements.
Now talking about the rank, in NEET 2021 the All India Rank at score 489 was around AIR 1-1.1lakhs.
At this rank it is quite difficult to fetch a seat in a government medical/dental college.
You can predict your rank for NEET 2022 using our rank predictor below.

Hello Student
As the every year cutoff marks and marks rank is changed according depending on some affordable factors so prediction of rank is a difficulty to say. What is your son has got or expected 489 marks in Neet ug exam out of 720 marks then the rank  according to state quota may be bellow 15,000.
In this rank there is a possibility of getting a Government  college in your state for Government college for BDS course.

Hello Aspirant

Candidates want to know what is a good score for them to enter their preferred college because the level of competition is so high. Candidates with a score of at least 600 have a strong chance of being accepted into the best government medical schools.

The ranking system depends on the marks scored by students in the exam and the previous year’s score trends. Every year the marks vs rank change according to the following factors:

  • Total number of aspirants
  • The difficulty level of questions
  • Previous year’s trends
  • Preparedness of candidates

Thanks
