HELLO,

The National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme is centrally sponsored initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Launched in May 2008.It aims to provide financial assistance to students from economically weaker sections to reduce dropout rates after Class 8 and encourage them to continue their education at the secondary stage.

  • Scholarship Benefits
  • amount of Rs12000 per annum
  • duration from class 9th to class 10th
  • disbursement directly credited to students bank accounts through the Public Financial Management Systems

Eligibility Criteria

  • academics performance must be minimum 55 percent in class 7 to appear for the selection test
  • minimum 55 percent marks in class 8 to be eligible for the scholarship
  • parental income from all sources should not be exceed Rs3,50,000
  • school type must be studying from government school.
