Once NEET results have been announced, the NEET merit list will be released. And admission to all the Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges and Deemed/Central Universities will be conducted through All India Counselling and State Counselling. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and PrivateColleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. There will be Round 1, Round 2 and Mop up Round for Counselling. You need to register for Counselling. So the steps are:
- Appear for NEET and qualify
- Wait for the results and the merit list
- Register for Counselling by paying refundable and non refundable fees
- During Choice Locking, select Colleges that you want a seat in
- And once the seat has been alotted join the College if you like or participate in the further Rounds.
