There is negative marking in JEE Main of -1 marks for every incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions & numerical value-based questions. There will be no negative marking for the numerical value questions, while -1 will be deducted for each wrong answer in the MCQs. The students will get 3 hours to complete the JEE Main Paper I. The total marks will be 300. For MCQs 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer For numerical 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer

Hello,
JEE MAIN 2021 is a Computer-based examination. The duration of the examination is 3 hours (4 hours for persons with benchmark disabilities) and questions will be asked from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
There will be a total of 90 questions (need to answer 75 questions) (Each subject will have 20 MCQs and 10 numerical ques out of which 5 is must. 20 Objective questions having 4 options each with only 1 correct option and 10 Numerical questions out of which 5 needs to be answered).
JEE Main 2021 Marking Scheme is as below:
For MCQs - 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
For answer with a numeric value - 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
