Hi rahul,
For getting selected in nits or iiits the general or obs both has same criteria of
1. Either get 75 percentage in your 12 boards.
2. You must be either in top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination . It must ne noted taht while calculating top 20 percentile aggregate marks in HSC are considered not PCM score.

Percentile = number of students score less than you
                    ________________________________________
                            Total number of students
Now multiply the ratio with 100.

Hope it helps !!!!

Hi Rahul,

For admissions to NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs: Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board. For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.

All the best!
