The NMMS Scholarship starts from class 9th for students who qualify the exam in class 8th. Under this scheme, each student receives 1000 rupees per month till class 12th. Only those students are eligible whose family income is below 3.5 lakh per year. To get it, one has to clear the state-level NMMS exam. Applications can be submitted through the school or the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Once verified, the scholarship is automatically credited every year.

To get the national means cum merit scholarships (NMMS) scholarship in class 9th you need to have passed class 8th with atleast 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) and be studying in a government aided or local body school, your family income should not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh per year.
You cannot apply if you are in a residential school like KVS, NVS or sainik School. Application are done through state education board for the national scholarship portal. If selected scholarship of rs 12000 per year continues up to class 12 provided you meet requirements and get at least 55% in class 10 (50% for sc/st).
If you fullfill the above eligibility criteria you will get the scholarship.
