Yes this statement is always true that off springs formed due to sexual reproduction have better chances of survival than those produces during asexual reproduction because during sexual reproduction the two gametes ( male gametes and female gametes ) fuse together and therefore they inherit trait from their parents .
Also during sexual reproduction new variations are also built . This increases the chances of the survival even in changed environment .
