Ranks are allocated on the basis of marks which are obtained in JEE exam. No as such preference is given  on gender basis.

In JEE 2018 as well there will be no weightage included for boards exams. Rank will be allocated accordng to the marks which you will get in your exam but make sure you get 75% marks in your boards exam. So, you will be eligible for NITs/IIITs/IITs and GFTIs
