On what basis MBBS/BDS colleges are alloted to students?

Hi neeraj,

these are the factors which is crucial in determining the college allocation:

  • Rank: the higher is your rank, the better ranking college you will get
  • Cutoffs: every college has a closing rank and an opening rank, the college accepts students only from this particular range of ranks (Cutoff rank) also, there is cutoff marks, minimum marks required to pass the exam, the more you score than this cutoff, the better are the chances for you.
  • Category: your category matters, you may get a college solely based on your category as there is reservation for the categories
