Hi aspirant

let us assume that the smaller number is X

, then larger number = 5 *X = 5X

Now,
A/Q we have

5X - 8 = 3X

5X-3X=8

2X=8

X=8/2

X=4

Hence,
Smallernumber=4

and larger number = 5 x 4 = 20
