Dear Harsh, there is no limit on the permitted number of attempts. The upper age limit criteria has been removed by the Supreme Court, for the time being, which allows candidates to appear for the exam. The final decision of the Supreme Court is still pending and the next hearing is scheduled for the month of January. As of now, no limit on age cap and maximum no.of attempts as well.
