For most engineering entrance exams and admissions (like JEE, KCET, MET, COMEDK, etc.), the minimum required PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) percentage is usually:

  1. General category – At least 45% marks in PCM combined .

  2. Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, etc.) – At least 40% marks in PCM combined .

However, some private colleges and deemed universities may set their own higher cutoff, and for top branches like CSE, higher PCM percentages (above 60% or 70%) may improve chances.
