The placement stats of NIT Silchar is given below.

The placement and job opportunities are at best. As being an NIT of good rank very big companies come to our college during placements. The placement of every branch is good and for cs, it is the best. 85% of student get placed in each class which is very high. The highest package of our college is 37 lpa in cse. Highest package for electronics is 19 lpa, for mechanical 17 lpa, for E and I nearly 12 lpa and for civil it is around 10 lpa.

Electronics & Instrumentation dept at NIT Silchar, came into being from 2008 ,so there are just 4 pass out batches, implying small Alumni base especially in Core sectors,

Though with every passing year we observe gradual change in academic curriculum, there are still things to be done.Deptt has strong relationship with Companies like National Instruments,PSU like BPCL ,NRL ,Vedanta ,LNT ECC etc which make them regular Visitor during placements season,

When it comes to sectors like IT,Analytics,Finance branch enjoys equal opportunities with EE,ECE,MECH, CSE both during Internship and Placements.
