4.Language Comprehension.

5.Mathematical Skills.

All India Management Association (AIMS) conducts Management Aptitude Test or popularly known as MAT four times a year for admission to around 600 B-schools across India. MAT is a national level MBA entrance test conducted in the month of February, May, September and December.

Eligibility criteria

• Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or Institute.
• Final year graduation students can also apply for MAT. However, they have to submit documents as proof of completion of graduation within the prescribed time.
• There is no age limit prescribed to appear for MAT.

Syllabus:

• Data Analysis and Sufficiency – Graphs, Charts, Bar Graphs, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram, Puzzles, Tables etc.
• Language Comprehension – Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Verbal Reasoning, Analogies, Odd man out, Sentence correction & completion, Antonyms, Idioms etc.
• Intelligence and Critical Reasoning – Mathematical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Coding and Decoding, Family Tree, Effect and Cause, Sequencing etc.
• Mathematical Skills – Geometry, Number System, Functions, Date and Time, Progression, Algebra, Averages, Ration and Proportions etc.
• Indian and Global Environment – Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Geography, History, Sports, Entertainment, Politics, Science, Awards, Business etc.

The MAT exam is divided in 5 sectional having their scores which is stated as follows.

• Language Comprehension - 40 (30 mins)
• Mathematical Skills - 40 (40 mins)
• Data Analysis and Sufficiency - 40 (35 mins)
• Intelligence and Critical Reasoning - 40 (30 mins)
• Indian and Global Environment - 40 (15 mins)

The time given in the bracket is suggested time.
The total paper is for 200 marks and has to be completed in 150 mins (2 hr 30 mins).
