The conversion of cgpa to percentage varies from Institute to institute. For example, I completed my B.Tech in a government institute in odisha. After graduating from there, I too had this issue of conversion of cgpa to percentage. Our Institute had the following formula for the conversion :
Percentage = (CGPA -0.5)*10
Then I completed my M.Tech from IIT. There the formula was different from the previous one. It was as follows :
Percentage = CGPA *10
Therefore just get it confirmed from your institute about this conversion formula.
