Step-1: Register & Apply for MBA
entrance examination
The Candidates seeking admission in top MBA colleges should register and apply for the relevant MBA test like CAT/XAT/IIFT/NMAT/SNAP within the required registration window.
Most National level MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT close the registration process in September and November respectively.
Step-2: Appear in MBA examination
Those who want to pursue management course PGDM/MBA programme from top MBA colleges must appear in CAT, XAT, NMAT or other relevant entrance exams
Step-3: Shortlisting Process
After declaration of MBA exam lead to January, most of the highest B-schools will shortlist the appropriate candidates for final admission round on the premise of exam scores, academics, diversity, work experience among other parameters as per the respective B-school admission policy and weightages. the method is completed by each institute individually.
Step-4: Final Admission Process- -
GD-PI-WAT Round
All the shortlisted candidates shall need to appear within the conference (GD)
Ability Test (WAT) followed by Personal Interview (PI).
Some of the B-schools like FMS will conduct GD & Extempore before PI round while few other like MDI will conduct GD-PI and some like IMI will conduct test also.
Some of the IIMs like IIM Shillong, IIM Kozhikode also conduct GD round supported the WAT.
On the premise of their performance in final selection round, weightage awarded to entrance scores, academic profile & diversity, work experience and gender diversity, final merit list are generated and admission offers are made by the respective B-school.
IIMs Admission Process
The admission process includes the CAT cut offs, admission eligibility, shortlisting criteria and weightages and weightage to different components in final selection round.

You have to have a Bachelor's degree of any stream. The process of admission in MBA(HR) colleges is Entrance Exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. You would be shortlisted on the basis of your performance in each of the rounds. It is mandatory to appear in any one of the nationally conducted management Entrance Exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP etc. Weightage is also given to marks scored in Higher Secondary and Graduation level examination.
There are over 3000 Management Institutes in India. There are some Private Management Institutes in India which offer direct admission on the basis of rank/percentile/marks scored in any one of the nationally conducted management entrance exams.
