Protoplasm is the living contents of a cell that is surrounded by a plasma membrane. It is a general term for the cytoplasm.Protoplasm is composed of a mixture of small molecules such as ions, amino acids, monosaccharides and water, and macromolecules such as nucleic acids, proteins, lipids and polysaccharides.

Protoplasm is the site of many biological processes. In eukaryotes, for instance, the site of DNA and mRNA biosyntheses is the nucleus  . Proteins, in turn, are synthesized by the ribosomes. Lipid synthesis occurs in the endoplasmic reticulum  .

You can also add the components which are present in protoplasm and mention their functions that would also help (but write it in brief ) .
