Let the number of eggs bought by the person be x
therefore, Money spent=x/4
he kept x/5 with him therefore remaining eggs:
x-x/5=4x/5, which he sold at 3 rupees
that is 4x/(3*5)=4x/15
given profit is 1 rupee that is,
4x/15-x/4=1
(16-15x)/60=1
x/60=1
x=60
Therefor, number of eggs bought is 60.
