SASTRA Deemed to be university is a private university established in 2001. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as B.E./B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, PhD, B.Sc, M.Sc etc.

The placement for B.Tech CS/IT are pretty good.
Many big companies visited campus for placements such as Accenture, Oracle India Ltd, IBM Corporation, ICICI, ABN Amro, Hindustan Unilever Ltd etc.
The average package offered was around 9.3 lakhs per annum, Highest package was 25.8 LPA, lowest was 3.6 LPA. Around 70% of the students were placed.
