Hello,

I think there is some opportunity for placement for Btech food technology students but it is bit less in India.Outside India there is a hige demand for this branch.

There is not a huge scope of Food tech in india since here there is not much requirement(vacancy) of food engineers or food scientist for quality assurance purposes.

These are the few companies that might come for recruitment along with ITC LTD

· Kandhari Beverages Pvt. Ltd.(Manufacturer for COCA-COLA )- 1.5 LPA

· Bikanerwala Foods Pvt. Ltd.(Manufacturer for Pepsico India )

· Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.

· L.T. Foods (Dawat Basmati Rice)

· Intertek Labs

I joined food technology (B tech) in tamilnadu vetrinary university what is the difference between food tech in vetrinary  engineering and agriculture
