The ration card is for the whole family.It has just your name written it.They need Id proof to confirm that the face in the Id matches with the face of the person to avoid any kind of cheating.They might not acept your ration card as a proof.
I will suggest you to take your Adhaar Card along with you as an Id proof for the JEE April Examination.
