KIET was established in 1998 while sharda was established in 2009.

Both are privately owned state universities and sharda has a NAAC B rating.

Facilites and infrastructure at Sharda will be much better than at KIET and also Sharda tries to maintain a 100% placement record even if it means BPO companies or Consultancies, the credibility of the source of this info cannot however be said for sure.

The median placement package for BE/Btech/BArch course at Sharda is 3 lpa while at KIET it is 4 lpa.
