Hi Aspirant, You have two option

1. IT (B.Tech+ M.Tech)

2. IT(B.Tech+ MBA)

As you secured 16394 rank you are eligible for dual degree in IIIT Gwalior for both the course. If you are general category candidate then you are eligible but if you are from other categories then you are not eligible.

Hey Mridul
Go for dual degree only when you find it worth enough because most people don't.
It is always advised to evaluate all the options and gain some experience and exposure before proceeding towards Masters degree.
If you opt for Dual degree, you won't be able to leave it in between.
Thus, I would advice you to reconsider your choice.
If you want to go for it, then make sure to sharpen your skills in order to boost your resume after you had finished your degree.
Good luck

Hello Mridul!

I would suggest you to go for a better option because IIIT gwalior is a really new college and we can't expect much from it. You can get a good branch in a good college like Mechanical engineering in NIT nagpur. Mechanoical branch is best  in NIT nagpur. Search for more options

Dear aspirant,

It is usually suggested to take a single degree course anywhere as the fields are themselves very vast. If you remeber 10 years ago Electronics and electrical were together but these days it's being rare. Only prestegious colleges and a few other handful private colleges are having the course this is because the fields themselves have undergone expansion and thus have split up so that students can study/focus on properly. Thus often people recommend to choose one degree. But by all means feel free to choose dual degree at IIIT because that's a perstegious institute.

E&E isn't a dual degree but it's an example of how field expansion didn't support their dual degree program. Also as a F.E student the indepth of one field increases exponentially each year it's awfully hard to do both.

Hello student,

Don't know if you are aware but IIIT Gwalior offers two dual degree courses related to IT, B.Tech+M.tech and B.tech+MBA. While going with previous year trends, your rank of 16394 may be sufficient for securing a seat in 5-year courses. According to last year statistics, you could have secured seats in the first round of counselling only. Regarding the changed JEE rankings this year, we expect the closing ranks to be a bit off-trend but rest assured you can get 5 year courses in IIIT Gwalior.

Cheers!
