It is good to hear that you are expecting 42 marks in JEE main 2018.As you know that JEE main result for 2018 is not released yet.CBSE will release JEE main cutoff on 30th April 2018.Candidate can check his/her result on official website.
As compared to the Previous result of JEE main 2017 cut off for various categories may also decrease this time for JEE main 2018.In 2017 for SC candidates the cut off was 32. You should definitely prepare for JEE advanced as there is a high chance that you will qualify for JEE advanced. And if you prepare you can also score well in other exams including BITSAT.
