Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
First things first, ask yourself. Do you really want to pursue BTech? If you're fine with BSc as your undergrad degree, then go for it whilst preparing for JEE on the sidelines.
There are two things of importance here: One, you are going to be a year behind your schoolmates on the road to settlement if your answer to the question is yes (being on the safe side). Two, the college life is not a great provider of study hours. You have the additional pressure of being at least middling in your college performance, apart from the pressure of performing in JEE (which, honestly, is immense, given it's your second (and perhaps, the last) chance). Thus, you should NOT think of juggling BSc degree and JEE preparation if you are an aspiring engineer.
One year is ample time for training yourself to crack JEE. You just have to keep your cool, and not lay too much stress thinking about the result.
