So, it would be good if you apply for other states government and private colleges which accepts Jee mains marks for admission or you can also apply for private universities like Chandigarh University, Lovely Professional University, Graphic Era, Galgotia University ,Amity University.

Both the options can go well. In today's time the value of private universities have been lifted, there are many good private universities that offer good placements and are good in academics as well.
But if you are determined to study in IIT and live the life of an IITian then you should take another year drop and study with focus and determination and crack your exam.
