Hello aspirant,
First of all the criteria of getting any nit college is
1. You should be in top 20 percentile of the respective board
2.you should get a minimum aggregate of 75 percent in any board
If you are from Cbse board then you fail to qualify both the criterias but if you are from any other board then do check your board's top 20 percentile. If you re in top 20 then you can get nit otherwise you won't get

As you mentioned in your question that you got 60% in your class 12, you are not eligible to get NIT(National Institute of Technology) as the minimum criteria for eligibility is 75%
But if you are in top 20 percentile then you are eligible and may get NIT seat.
