To get admission in top government medical colleges in India, you need an exceptional all india rank. That wont be possible if you just study NCERT. Most of the questions are from NCERT but there are also questions which are not covered there. They tend to ask you about topics for which you need to study in depth and maybe consult other coaching institutes materials, but the number of such questions are not many, say around 10 to 15 out of 90.

Generally out of 90 questions around 82 questions come from NCERT. 5 out of remaining 8 questions can be solved if you have understood each and every line of NCERT. So by thoroughly studying NCERT, you can easily answer 87 questions in NEET Biology (which is 348 marks). I had personally done these three things -

1. Studied  NCERT Book thoroughly
2. Solved NCERT Biology Exemplar Book
3. Solved previous year Bio NEET/AIPMT questions (2012-2017)

And I got 330/360 in NEET Biology. So do the above three things you will surely get good marks. Best of Luck.
