As per 2018 statistics, considering you are a general category candidate, a mechanical engineering seat seems possible for you but it maybe possible that you are on the borderline.
The cutoffs in 2018 for mechanical was around 1,40,700 and in 2017 was at 1,36,000. So do participate in the counselling sessions as the number of candidates applying changes every year. Best of luck
