You have to attend council in genral category. you can attend counselling. Dont be affaired. you can contact iit personally and can request to change your category.

Hey aspirant, yes that is true if you fail to verify that you are from the EWS category then your application will be cancelled and you will no longer be eligible for admission process. And in the worst case, they may permanently abandon you from giving next Jee Advance paper too.
Please fill all the details correctly while submitting the application form as any casualty will definitely trouble you in the admission process.
