The back dated certificate is not possible to avail of. TheEWS certificate opportunity has been introduced in the year of 2019. After getting the afterwards years that means 2021 to 2022 e w s certificate it is not possible to get previous years 2020 2021 EWS certificate for the first year. You are eligible to get 2nd year admission 2021 to 2022 EWS certificate applying to the respective department with valid documents as it required.

Application for upsc closes on Feb 22/22. My ews certificate is valid as of now but in karnataka they issue certificate for 21-22. so again I will have to apply and get the certificate from April 22 to March 23. so if I clear pre then for mains it will have a different ews certificate number.
