According to the changes done by IIT Bombay this year, 3rd years are also now eligible to write the GATE exam. You can now appear in your 3rd year as well as 4th year as well. As there is no age limit to appear for GATE, under this now 3rd year students can appear for the GATE exam twice before completion of their graduation.

There is no chance to attempt GATE Exam in the graduation of 3rd year.After your graduation  you get chance  to write exam .As per eligibility ,Candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.
