Yes definitely u will not get main branches like CSE, EC,IT but you should wait for the last round ,may be u can get .
Getting into an NIT is not so difficult bro… there are some branches that are not filled even after 3 rounds so sometimes people with lower marks like 75–100 marks can also get there.
But if you talk about a DECENT NIT with a GOOD BRANCH. It's not so easy if you don't have higher rank.
Here's the estimated list of cut offs(rank) of few prestigious NITs :
RANK IS GIVEN ACCORDING TO GENERAL RANK, NOT THE CATEGORY RANK.
NIT WARANAL:
- 1000–7000(gen)
- 2200–10000(obc)
NIT TRICHY:
- 500–5000(gen)
- 750–7500(obc)
NIT SURATHKAL:
- 300–5000(gen)
- 600–8000(obc)
NIT JAIPUR :
- 1200–8000(gen)
- 2200–12000
NIT ALLAHABAD :
- 500–10000(gen)
- 1200–14000(obc)
This is the opening and closing rank but yeah if you've secured a better rank you can certainly go to your desired campus.
