For that you have to attain counseling up to last round and special round.

Since your rank is > 15000, possibilities of getting good NIT and IIIT decreases but again you can get NIT through home state quota. If you want a good branch then go for reputed private engineering colleges. 

Here are some colleges you can go for -

Thapar, BIT Mesra, BIT Sindri, LNMIIT, Nirma, JAC Chandigarh ( PEC, UIET, etc), PDPU, UPES, etc.
